Corsa xtreme active exhaust Sounds like actuators are rattling

any one else with this issue. When I hit the throttle it sounds to me like the actuators are rattling. It really sounds crappy. It didn’t do this at first with install so I’m wondering if there’s a way to fix the issue. Happens way more in track than quiet mode. While idle there’s no rattle. Most likely going to have to bring it in to be looked at.

Corsa has updated their Active Valves (added Barings at the pivot points) they sent me two new ones for Free.

* I don’t have a Corsa exhaust * but after reading your thread and messing around with my standard active exhaust, I got interested …

So when I rebuilt my standard active I looked for videos for refitting the actuators. All the videos I could find were for aftermarket exhausts and they seemed to suggest that the actuators just bolted straight on.

That’s not quite so with the standard exhaust (why I was looking for videos in the first place), they are a little tricky and they hold the butterfly’s under tension when fully closed.

So rattling valve people, did you fit the actuators yourselves and if so, did they bolt straight up or were they a little tricky to get the springs aligned due to some pre tension ?

I actually don’t have the issue. The exhaust clamps were the culprit. Haven’t had an issue since I tightened them.

I'm glad I just found this post because I absolutely hate my active Corsa exhaust. Track mode sounds like the mufflers are coming apart and in any other mode the tone would be nice but there is this weird, pinging rattle that sounds like complete shit. Finding this gives me hope that I'm experiencing these issues that everyone is talking about. I'll be calling Corsa first thing Monday.

Geez....I just bought one! Haven't installed yet but you guys have me worried.

A little off/related topic question. Did any of you have issues with getting the tips squared? I can't get mine to line up. I've tried everything, please help.

Thanks, but if it rattles it ain't worth a damn. I jumped on here to find out how people are enjoying their Corsa and I find out it has issues. This has ruined my weekend. I doubt if American Muscle will refund my money, only store credit. This sucks
