Just wondering if anyone has db reading on the above combo, in Victoria, Australia they get very sensitive when it comes to loud cars.

I currently have the sport and I am considering some headers to accompany it but I dont want to end up with a 120+ db system

I have sport with SW longtubes with no cats... It's not bad inside the car but outside is another story Haha. My neighbors commented to me the other day they heard me driving away for miles lol... And that was with a cold engine and me not going above 3k rpm

According to corsa the sport with headers is about 1-2dB lower than the Xtreme catback (can't find their diagram atm).

If aussierob calculated his sport catback at 101dB that puts my Xtreme at 110dB - at 3900rpm from memory, it will be more than that at high rpm

Bear in mind that the US uses a different method to calculate their readings, but it'll be just under 110 I'd say

Edit: don't know if corsa's estimate is with/without cats

Thats not too bad, I wonder how loud the xforce/hurricane system is by comparison, I have no idea how you can get away with the xtreme down here.

I don't mash the throttle but I want to free up the system without getting the too much attention from the local constabulary

Honestly nothing I've heard is anywhere near as loud as my car. Full KPM is pretty quiet, full hurricane is probably a touch louder than the Ford racing sport catback, which is close to the corsa sport I think (haven't heard the corsa sport yet though).

Having said that though, I've had no trouble whatsoever. I converted another forum member yesterday, I think he's going to get the Xtreme. You can get in trouble with the stock exhaust after all haha

The problem with the Corsa systems (not really a problem) but because they are drone free I have no idea how loud the system is.

One user went with Magnaflow Competition and Headers and he had to change the catback as he was over 125db

This is so true, inside the car the extreme is not loud to me at all. I was actually pretty surprised how quiet it was.

One option you could consider would be to try to swing a trade for a Corsa Touring AB (Sport Mufflers) if you're concerned with drawing unwanted attention from law enforcement.
Granted you could probably go with what you currently have but l believe you would need to be much more vigilant about when and where you put your foot into it because like you say you don't get that interior sound feedback from Corsa's no-drone technology.
And with this car l wouldn't want to always be on cop lookout when on the gas trying to have some fun.:D

Yeah I have the same problem, no idea how loud it is from the outside under load. So many compliments on the sound though, and zero complaints about the noise level means it's not too obnoxious.

I have zero regrets about my exhaust, if I were in your position I'd get headers in a heartbeat. I'd probably go 200 cell cats though, seems the coyote gets really tinny with headers
