What Was max power with the TT GT? Anything you disliked about it? I’m heading down this road (single turbo) myself and always looking for more insight.

Full disclosure…
The car is very well built and fully upgraded but still stock trans and engine. Last fall I drove up to PA and had Scott Richardson build me a 10r80 and down to NC to pick up a sleeved predator block shortblock. Everything is in my garage and ready to go. The one thing I’m lacking is time to undertake the project and I refuse to allow anyone else to do it. Trying to run 3 businesses, with one rapidly growing, doesn’t leave me the time I need for projects like that and I have a laundry list of other things that need to be done first. Last weekend I re-evaluated my goals and realized that something like the GT500 just suited me better at this point in my life. I really wanted a GT500 when I bought this car, but they were hard to find and the ADMs were ridiculous at the time.

As for the car now, it hasn’t been on a dyno, but the current turbos have been known to make 1200 and all of the supporting mods are there.

1.000 miles in 4+ years, $$$ in mods, I don’t get it. Modded garage queen?
GT500 as a garage queen makes more sense for me at least.

Car was never done in my mind and I didn’t want to drive it until it was. Another reason that I want the GT500.

Idk I'm gonna go against what everyone else is saying and say at the end of the day they are both mustangs. Yes a GT500 is nice. But your gt with all the mods is too. If your looking for a nameplate & set it and forget mustang. GT500 is the way to go. If you like mods stick with the GT as the performance per dallor is better there. I'd stick with the GT if it was me.. The wear & tear a sports car gets in general would make it hard for me to really drive the GT500 and enjoy it out of fear of ruining it's condition. My mustang gt, I may get a rock chip, I may get a scratch here and there, at the end of the day I enjoy this car for it's performance and accepted the wear and tear because it wasn't a 90k$ car. Good luck with whatever you do. It's your money and you gotta do what makes you happy.🤙🏽 Here's my ride

Apparently it’s pretty easy to make 900rwhp on pump gas with the gt500, something I really can’t do with my tt car. I don’t know if I’ll mod it or not, but the option is there.
The lower compression ratio really helps if you wanna run pump gas

Wait, you just accused me of posting an opinion and then replied with an opinion? Ok then 🤣🤣🤣
I didn't "accuse" you of anything ,nor did I say my opinion was worth any more than anyone else's.

Everyone has their own preferences. For me, I won't own a car with less than 3 pedals 🤷‍♂️

Actually there you go. They’re much better in the set it and forget it mode then the manual. Especially on a track.

I want both.
I will be purchasing a new detailing vehicle soon, and it will be a manual daily driver.
The mustang will be garaged and stripped to be spot welded frame, supercharged, caged and suspension built for track purposes.
It will stay a V6 and 6r80 car.

Both is good. But I prefer manual for street.

Good for you…you added nothing to the conversation to help the OP make a choice, and no one cares if you like manuals. You just came here to seek attention.

Enjoy it. You only die once, but you live every day.
….Took a GT500 for a limited test drive. loved it, but I didn’t know what the hell to do with my right hand. Weird feeling….Lol..seriously a blast, but I think I’d miss my M1. Clearly, I’m too involved…
The GT500 is absolutely a blast. Enjoy it..Like firing a full automatic 50 cal. VS. a .556 sniper rifle (with a great scope, btw).[/QUOTE]

Out of nowhere last weekend I decided to list my highly modded twin turbo 2020 GT with under 1000 miles for sale in favor of buying a GT500. The pending sale happened way quicker than I imagined and I’m supposed to deliver the car tomorrow. I have a brand new built short block, built 10r80 and a ton of other parts that weren’t on the car yet that I will also need to sell, putting me very close to GT500 money. I need some reassurance that I’m not making a mistake and some good reasons why. Assuming the sale goes through, what should I be looking for in a GT500? I’m trying stay at or below mid 90’s price range.

I would take a stock GT500 over a heavily modified GT in a nanosecond.
