Nobody who is serious about tracking a car is going to be out there in a vert although the S550 with magnaride like my pp 18 with gt350 springs is worlds better than any of the S197 verts....still that's why I said leave most of the upgraded track stuff off. A great looking, collectible, stanced out badass that breaks necks on the boulevard and is still a straight line monster ? Yeah, would certainly own one over a C8 or or pretty much anything else under $100K....
While rare, it’s not impossible to consider a trackable vert. I’m sure it would have been faster as a coupe, but I love the looks I get when pulling out low 9’s (still trying to break an 8) at 150+ in this.

That's why I put "style bar" in quotes, not "safety". but dontcha think if that was a mule, it would have a bar?

So the same person (Trev9667 on YouTube) saw it at the same intersection today in Dearborn Michigan. Looking closer he realized it’s a dealer plate, as you can see, not a manufacturer plate. So this could just be a one-off, but he tried asking the driver about it and said the guy didn’t seem to know anything about the car or at least acted that way. If it’s a knock off, they even went to the trouble of putting the newer tail lights on, or put old headlights on a 2018+. It’s a mystery to me but the brakes do seem too small.

The Oil Cooler vent (holes) are totally off from the way a 500 grid looks on a real 500.

I agree, the hood pins appear suspect when you zoom in as well.

If I were a betting man, I would bet money that this is an imposter. I am not sold one iota.

I agree, Jaime. Too many oddities like the "hood pins" which aren't black and I THINK they're all that color. All it takes is one fugazi. :-)

KB, I was referring more to the fact that it looks like there is hardware around the hood pins, maybe just photo quality. I don’t even think that’s iconic silver.
Looks more like ingot silver to me since we’re picking apart these photos.

Gaaaaa, no, just no.

My '07 GT500 was a vert, my biggest car purchase mistake ever. Too compromised. Nose heavy, flexible turd.

I am no photoshop expert, but that would be a heck of a job considering the consistency of the reflections across the car. You can also see some of the orange barrel reflected on the front clip just in front of the right fender as well as what looks to be the building across the street on the hood.

Oh, its real.... However I am sure it is a customer built conversion. Anybody with time and money could do this. Next time maybe they can ask the guy to pop the hood.

Yes, I think the car exists as well, it's just not a GT500
