Hey Y'all!
Alright guys this tutorial is for people who have the same camera as I have. I own an F750 and I just looked for an update to my dashcam. However I've seen some bad new about the update. So I decided to re-flash my F750 and convert it to an F770
Note: Do not use the Thinkware F750 firmware version 1.00.22, there have been some people reporting issues and have not been able to change or update the firmware. Please only use 1.00.15 F750 version, then update to the 1.00.03 F770 version and then the latest one (If there's a newer one) from their website for the F770.
1.00.03 (Is the latest one for now).
STEP 1
Convert your F750 to an F770
1*. Format the Thinkware SD card
2*. Download F770 Firmware 1.00.03 [Click HERE]
3*. Extract the F770-pkg.bin file from the downloaded zip
4*. Copy the bin file to the SD card (Without the 2 folders)
5*. Rename F770-pkg.bin to F750-pkg.bin
6*. Insert SD card and turn on the camera
Update may take a few minuets so DO NOT TURN OFF!
STEP 2
Update your converted F750 and for future update!
1*. Format the Thinkware SD card
2*. Download the firmware from Thinkware for the F770
3*. extract the contents of the downloaded zip to the root of the SD card (1 file and 2 folders)
4*. Download the camera data for your area
5*. Replace the file in the DriveInfo folder on the SD card
6*. Insert SD card and turn on the camera
7*. Open "F770_Setting.exe" in your "SETTING" folder
8*. Format the SDCard!
9*. Enjoy the free upgrade!
Update may take a few minuets so DO NOT TURN OFF!
FAQ:
What's the difference between F750 & F770? It's the same hardware. Only the appearance is different!
What's new? Some new features (Speed stamps, Super Night Vision, ...)
Why updating to F770? Thinkware update pretty much all the features that users want on the F770 before the F550 and some are only available on F770
Hit me up if you have any question!
Enjoy!
