Anyone do this. Considering removing all mach1 stickers. Leaving the emblems but don’t care for the stickers so much. Being the car is a 23 and spends its life in a garage I assume there would not be any fading.

anyone ever do this?

I just saw this the other day. I think it looks pretty good.

I've seen the hood decal removed on some Mach 1s on this forum, but I've read way too many posts here.

If you stripped everything you may visually confuse the uninformed, but there is no confusing the sound of the Mach 1 for an Ecoboost.

If you are going to do it now would be the time so there isn’t any fading.

I’m considering it myself. I hate the red rocker stripes. Tgey are actually black and red but on a black car you only see the red so some of the effect that every other color Mach has is lost. I’m sort of OK with the hood decal but am probably going to buy an Anderson Composite CF GT500 hood so it’ll be a non issue. I like the Mach emblems and subtle grill and rear valance differences. I don’t feel the need to advertise what my car is. As an aside I even prefer the GT500 with stripes delete.

I’ve got a FJG Mach and have been considering removing only the hood decal which still hasn’t grown on me yet. Won’t make that decision until I do PPF because they have to take it off anyways and put back on over the film if I want to keep it. Unsure and wife is saying leave it alone so…

I wonder how many people in 1969 removed their Mach 1 decals.............???????????????????????

I'm guessing ZERO... but I have no data and Google was still 29 years from being invented in '69.

It's your car, do what makes YOU happy........... enjoy an awesome S550.

I’m not worried about that, I have the Borla ATAK on my 23 mach1. Lol.

I’ve always said to each his own. But if you do do it though make sure you take the Mach 1’s off of the side fenders too and put a 5.0 on instead because it will look like a GT.

It's your hot rod, do what you want.

I'm not a fan of the stripes. Damn shame someone doesn't make an Ol' skool shaker intake. Modern Machs would look tits.

Anyone who thinks about 10 sq/ft of colored vinyl makes the car what it is deserves to be fooled. Just my opinion.

One member here has a shaker on his Mach. Not my style but it does look good and it’s a nice homage to the originals. Someone will be along to call him in shortly.
