Let's put this to bed. Have the seller take detailed photos of the wheels and tires.

Get back to us when you have something we can work with.

With all due respect I suggest that your post #8 is certainly the best direction to take with respect to dealing with this vehicle.

:)

I agree. But at the same time, based upon the shelter in place order, it would be difficult to put eyes on the car. I agree that the biggest gotcha with buying an R is not getting the CF wheels.

In today's environment, I probably would not hop in my car and drive down to a dealership to look at someone else's R, like I have done in the past.

I think better photos would satisfy any concern over the wheels.

Well I guess that I am just in another place than you at this point and if this vehicle was located at a CarMax location (or any other location for that matter) in the Phoenix metropolitan area I would certainly volunteer and go to look at this R model subject to this vehicle sitting outside and arranging for physical distancing (not social distancing) between myself and the sales person in question from CarMax.

Not that I would have all of the answers but I would do my best in order to scrutinize this R model which would also include an Oasis Report and of course I would take hand sanitizer along with me as well!

:)

You are a smart guy Harry. I saw you debate with a GT owner and you got the best of him.

However my point was that the whole country is supposed to be "shelter in place". Some state's governors have elected to ignore that order, but Florida finally enacted ours beginning in about 5 minutes.

In normal times, just as I have for folks many times over, I'd be all over helping out by driving over to go see it.

Honestly, IMHO, now is not the time to buy a car sight unseen.

With the stock lug nuts sitting on the face of the wheel like that, it is most certainly not a 6GR (like @oldbmwfan said).
Yeah upon further inspection and not wearing beer goggles I can see they are not 6GR. This shelter in place here in CA makes my beer goggles really fuzzy. Haha

I saw an R for sale a few years ago at a dealer (not Ford) and it had replica wheels on it.. I suspect the dealership did not know to confirm the CF wheels were there when they priced it/ took it in on trade. No way I'd write the check w/o knowing they were there for sure.
