Has anyone done one with the marker light surrounds painted body color? Would like to see that also.

After seeing these solid color photoshops, I like the car __much__ better without stripes - I mean, I get it, they're very iconic, but the design is already very busy, and it just pushes it into seizure inducing amounts of visual noise :D

I like to disassemble things.
The same way I felt about my '09 GT500 and '16 GT350. I'm no spring chicken and to me the twin, parallel stripes clash with the curvaceous body lines. They also give it a certain "adolescent" look that is immediately eviscerated with them removed or gone. A clean paint job with minimalist badging works well for me.

Walk softly and carry a big stick.

Yep - I had a hard time choosing a color for my R but one thing I knew from the beginning - no stripes.

I agree 100% and couldn’t have said it any better.

It was so much better on the Terminator.

I like that the GT500 is brash. But it should be well designed brash. The structure of the car looks great. But some of the choices with the uninspired Cobra emblem placement and incorrect size is just mind boggling.

You can see where it's coming from when you see the guy who designed the car. He is a cool guy, but his personal style is ... interesting.

It's difficult when you see a lot of people who call themselves designers and yet know little of good design principles. The Cobra badge for example would work very well in a golden ratio setup. But instead, it tries to touch the borders of its grill/container. Reminds me so much of some of the millennial Instagram accounts that have gorgeous photography but marred by stupid typography/elements.

The read deckled emblem is a bit better as it looks like it's trying for a 60/40 ratio or thereabouts. But it looks so plain and like someone just tacked a badge on.

The badging on the GT350 is an example of great design. Even the sill plates were perfect - until Ford Performance changed it to those lame new Songebob looking plates. but I digress... the grill, the deckled, the fenders... perfection. Why that designer didn't badge the 500... who knows.

I agree with those who say the badge would be better offset as well. Even the "GT500 lettering is offset. And the center placement of the badge above looks wrong when you see them together.

The GT500 looks awesome in terms of vehicle structure. but the badging just plain sucks. It's still cool. but really, really, seriously, truly could be done so much better.

Badges are overrated, and I agree the GT350's were a great example of understatement that was as good as badging gets. I hope the front badge comes off without leaving a plastic embossed spot for it, otherwise will have to black out. As for the side i am sure they have alignment holes so removing will not be an option.....or maybe they didn't put alignment holes in the plastic fenders? The side fender badges remind me of something you buy at Autozone. The back can be removed with a plain cover from Ford if desired. I like the car to speak for itself thus find badges cluttering. IMO
