Well I put the Cobrajet setup on the dyno and it did not disappoint! 540whp/460TQ SAE. Shop temp was in the upper 70’s down here in southern Florida. Pull was in 5th gear 1:1.

Really great power for bolt on parts and tuning.

Mods are:

Lund E85R tune
unported Cobrajet intake manifold
VMP 137 Monoblade TB
PMAS CJ intake utilizing stock air box
Corsa Catless longtubes
Stock resonated cat back

Here is a picture of when the car was just stock tune with cat deletes and proflex commander and made 486whp on the same dyno. I had the shop overlay the runs to show the gains.

Did you fit it under the stock hood?
I used BMR engine drop brackets and then trimmed the underhood skeleton as clean as possible. Once I have it painted you’ll never know. I used a really nice piece of rubber trim to clean up the cut edge also. I can still put the factory hood heat shield back on also as I only lost two of the push pin holes.

Very nice! One of the few CJ Voodoo dyno sheets.

No spacers on the lowering mounts — full 1/2" drop? No issues with the header fitment?

Thank you! Yep it was part of my goal to put some good info out there with results on the CJ manifold on these cars.

No spacers. It’s all the way down. No NVH increase at all. Feels just like stock still and headers clear everywhere still. Obviously they are down a 1/2” but it’s no big deal.

Not to take away from you doing this it's awesome and the only video we have on the forum of a cobra jet manifold on these cars, but do you feel it's worth it with the cost/having to drop the motor? Just bring it up because I have seen plenty of cars get 525-530 whp with the mods above minus the intake. I would assume the sound is different from the stock intake though.

yes I think it’s worth it but show me a run that made 530whp SAE on stock manifold. I’ve seen plenty of high STD numbers. My car made 557whp STD but I don’t use those numbers.

Fat fab made 529whp STD with intake, headers and e85 and I made 557 STD. So if you want to compare STD numbers I put down 28whp more than them having a CJ with big Monoblade TB and PMAS intake.

Cool mod and nicely done! Have you seen faster lap times? It would be really interesting to have a before/after on track laps.

i have not done any racing yet with this car. But I’d have to imagine you would definitely see lower lap times with this combo.

What’s up guys, I scored a brand new in box ported CJ yesterday by Bret barber at AFS and installed it. Hoping the car will see 550+whp SAE now as it sits. I really like the Ford Performance logo. Fits the car much better.
