Cobra jet intake for Whipple

Just saw this listed and was wondering if anyone has it yet? Installed pictures? What does the filter look like? Works with Whipple's tune?

I like the clean look and I am sure the added intake size adds power. You would have to relocate the Whipple coolant reservoir that mounts to the cold air shield. The cobra jets do not use a heat ex-changer.

Does the coolant reservoir transfer heat to the Whipple airbox? I was at the track noticed that the airbox on the whipple gets really hot.

The 2016 CJs do utilize a heat exchanger. Their coolant reservoir for the supercharger is on the passenger side by the firewall, right where your battery sits, and the battery is moved to the trunk.

It has the reservoir yes but no heat exchanger.

If you were to remove the front fascia, you might expect to see a heat exchanger, but Ford Performance deleted that equipment from the new car. “The intercooler system does not have the low-temp radiator, so there’s just the intercooler in the valley, the pump, and the intercooler tank. There’s no front-mount radiator,” Jesse explained. “During an 8-second run there’s not time for that radiator to do anything.

I would assume they are running ice water in it as well. My biggest concern with the whipple over procharger is heat soak.
