Here are some good closeup pics of the 2015 Mustang shown at PRI this past week (it was either the Ecoboost or the V6 shown). You can see the underside including the IRS and other details I haven't seen in other pics.

I'll post the IRS pics in that section too.

Thanks for posting these, good to finally see some pics of the undercarriage.

This looks to be a well equipped base/I4. Memory seat buttons are there as well as BLIS on the side mirror.

I would also think I4 with those cute little exhaust pipes.

That would certainly explain the Brembos, more interesting is the 265/35/20 tires... I thought the EB4 was going to come with 19x9's with 255's... I welcome 265's, and I'd welcome more if they wanted to give it to us! :D

I wish that Ford would give us some proper lightweight wheels with the PP but that seems even less likely! :) I'll count my blessings that we get what we are getting. Not sure how I feel about 20" wheels... are we sure it's not a GT?

That interior is pretty beat up, too.

That pic from the taillights down the body is straight out if the 60s.

Interesting! :p

I do love how strangely similar to the S197 the floor pan is. The spare tire well (which I was unaware we'd get or need) and the floor pan from the fuel tank forward looks awfully similar. Of course it's all new, so who knows! how similar it actually is! :)

Just because it's all new, doesn't mean they started from scratch...

That's true. I just wish we knew what they meant by "Perimeter Sub Frame" meant exactly... From what we see now the under carriage looks very similar to the S197 so I wonder what they did to create this supposed perimeter sub frame or are they just talking about the floor pan frame rail stamping that looks exactly like the out going car had? In other words, is "Perimeter sub frame" marketing speak for something that has existed since 2005 or is it something new?

That's most likely a fancy way of saying they made the front subframe that holds the suspension and engine together more stout.
Along the lines of what the aftermaret has done for years...

So, if I read the images right, it looks like the rear turn signal segments are amber-lit while the braking segments are LED red......

Perhaps that's the "unique" rear lamp treatment that the Ford Licensing guys told us about last February.......

Cool, I want!
