"Click" / ping from axle. LOUD! Help?

I am going to have to try this. I have the annoying ping both when on or off throttle.

I ordered them, I will get them tomorrow and likely install Thursday.

Installed and torqued to 96ftlb and then 45 degrees more, F'ing tight! Still clicks and pops. Going to check one more possible thing and if that is not it it is going to Ford to look at the half shafts.

Are your cars equipped with the PP? If so then this noise is usually associated with the Torsen diff.

Has torsen but no, it is not that. I hear the Torsen sometimes going around a corner, especially in the wet.

My car is a PP, but it's EU spec, so no Torsen.

New design on the half axle nut due to the old style would loosen over time. CV joint in the half axles are your source of the issue as I have said.

Yep. Both half shafts will need to be replaced. I had the exact issue as you and others have well documented. Replaced both half shafts and the noise "popping" is gone. Somewhat common issue unfortunately.

Hey guys. I've been having this problem for the past week.

If it's the CV joint, would that be warrantied as part of the powertrain? Because my warranty literally expired a month ago.

GT350 half shafts being installed tomorrow.

Nearly $1k all in. And on a car with warranty.

I'll let you know in about an hour. Just finishing up at the shop.

They installed a BMR diff bushing kit at the same time, which turned out to be a total bitch of a job.

The 10 mile drive home suggests its fixed!!!

Although I'm gonna give it a few days driving before I start to celebrate.!!!
