Most wheels seem to have holes drilled big enough for 14mm studs. I would test fit them before going through the hassle of changing studs.

If the wheels do have smaller lug holes you could run a hub-centric spacer for 2014-older Mustang, it will have 1/2-20 studs that will fit through the lug holes.

Why not run 1/2 X 20 studs (like CoreTex does with their ARP solution)? Only slightly larger than 12mm (12.7mm). Doubt if anyone has tolerances so tight a 1/2 wouldn't work.

For the Volk wheels for instance we increase the hole to a 14 mm by using our machine shop.

how about drilling rim holes to 14mm ??
If you drill them to 14mm, be sure to only use a step drill. Drill to the 9/16" step. Put masking tape around the step that is the next one larger to 9/16". If the height of each step is not long enough to reach the full depth of the hole, you may have to drill halfway from each side of the wheel.

Have you already checked that the wheel bore is compatible with the hub (70.5mm IIRC)?

That's what I did on mine. A local wheel shop machined my holes bigger.

However, my Gram Lights (also a Rays wheel) fit just fine and did not need to be drilled.

A good shop can do the drill job. We use one of the best machine shop/cnc locations in So cal whenever we need custom spacers, lugs, bolts and wheel drilling/shaving done.
