I hear the Ford police outside my window wanting to arrest me for not changing the filter…they are after me….gotta go now, and escape….if you don’t hear from me….remember me on your drives…

"According to the appropriate schedule" is clear enough, but since it doesn't say "at the same time", doing them a few weeks apart isn't precluded by the wording. Think about it - the OLM is the Oil Life Monitor, not the Filter Life Monitor. Sheesh.

Since the FL-2087s are now coming back into stock and I was able to procure one, I changed out my Amsoil filter today. I had a little over a thousand miles on it. Anyway, this thread got me wondering how much oil the cartage holds. The only measuring device I could use without a fight with the wife only holds one cup. I'd say there's at least that much more in the pan, so around a half quart is the answer.

I think there’s still another ounce or two hiding in those pleats. Can you squeeze them out so we can be more accurate?🤣

Cut it open so we can see what it’s trapped out.

How much oil was in the oilways that drained when you broke the seal at the filter? It drained back into the sump. Did you measure that too?
