On an otherwise unrelated topic, how did you get the supercharger plaque off the supercharger? So I went out to the shop to check on the three battery tenders I have running and to capture the last project I started but haven't addressed in a bit.
I'm acutely aware of how simple it is to hack a wing off the decklid in no time at all. That said, I wanted to track down some locking hardware that would at least make it a bit more challenging to the average, less invasive, thief. Don't ask me for fastener sizes as my own scenario will differ from everyone elses - just trying to share the general idea.
My shop desk.
I planned on using security hardware along the lines of the screws/bolts but I also wanted security style nuts too. I found some interesting ones (in stainless) at BelMetric.com that I think may do the trick, along with the requisite unique nut driver.
The price will surely scare most away. At around $4 per nut and over $100 for the driver, the price is rather silly. Make that stupid silly. Regardless, I bought it with my wing retention plan in mind.
The nuts are difficult to grasp with pliers, etc, but mesh perfectly with the tri-ball driver.
Together with a security Torx screw, it should take the average moron a few minutes to realize that their stolen socket set ain't gonna cut it. Hopefully he/she (tranny reference unintended) doesn't have superior upright severing tools at their fingertips...
I love those uprights and hope to have something similar when my CFTP replica wing arrives. FFP is working on a GT4 style of upright as is Archetype Racing.absolute majesty and beauty.....
I saw the archetype, not crazy about it. What does the other one look like?I love those uprights and hope to have something similar when my CFTP replica wing arrives. FFP is working on a GT4 style of upright as is Archetype Racing.
FFP hasn’t posted any photos as of yet, I believe they are still in the design phase.I saw the archetype, not crazy about it. What does the other one look like?
Hey Sam,@Tomster How are you keeping? Life treating you well?
The latest GT500 "Code Red" by Shelby that was on display at Woodward had taller uprights. Were they the GT4 or Archetype?

They are a stick on noise suppression piece believe it or not.On an otherwise unrelated topic, how did you get the supercharger plaque off the supercharger?
Happen to know how one would acquire a new plate? They are a stick on noise suppression piece believe it or not.
I’ve toured Romeo Niche line assembly and seen my ‘22 built at FRAP so I’ve accumulated some interesting materials.
Here is what the supercharger plate looks like. It is aluminum with a sticker on the back.

Would need a part number for Tasca and others. Also, I see zero on eBay so either I’m not using the correct wording in the search or they aren’t on there.they are all over ebay, I assume you could order from tasca too.
What are the dimensions of said plate? They are a stick on noise suppression piece believe it or not.
