We are the product.

Or you could be like me, disable GPS and all data links. One one is tracking me through my car.

Aside from any privacy concern, the concern should be about data breaches at many of these Big Businesses and Corp Enterprises…. No one is protecting data properly… there’s been too many data breaches…

Yes, but the authorities need court orders to access that data, whereas car manufacturers lightheartedly give it to them if they just ask nicely. Besides, phone companies won't sell your data for a profit, like some car manufacturers allegedly do.

I'm fine with Vodafone knowing where I've been and where I am. I'm not fine with Ford telling the government and other third parties where I've been and when.

Difference is the phone isn't selling the data to insurance companies that can figure out if you likely speed alot, (time over distance). And raise your rates. the car snitching on you can. They didn't offer those obII plug in's to get safe driver discounts for nothing, now they don't have too, they get it straight from the Automaker with the matching vin tagged to the data.
Thanks I rather they don't know if I'm at/on a track or not, or averaged 85mph on a trip.
