So I'm looking to improve the interior of my car and have some changes in mind including alcantara trim for certain panels, but I also might go for carbon fibre around the dash areas etc.

Now I've only found one semi decent product on ebay, the rest seems to be Chinese stuff which I'm not sure about. I've looked through the forum and seen a few older threads and been on Google but it seems to send me to American sites only so LHD only.

Does anyone have a good source in the UK for carbon fibre? Doesn't have to be the full replacement stuff, a good quality stick over the stock items, would be fine.

Thanks, Ben.

Hi Ben,

I purchased some stuff from China off ebay and have been really pleased with most of the items. I got the large sat nav/heater control/switch panel surround and some door handle surrounds - all good and easy to fit. Look like carbon fibre (but bet it isnā€™t) and have good 3m tape to secure to the panels. Make sure you use an alcohol wipe first to clean the surfaces!
The only disappointing item was the light switch surround. I binned that one!!
Cant find the links, but your search on ebay will point you in the right direction - donā€™t be scared...

Thank you for the reply and the photos bud, that does look very tidy and a really good finish as well. I certainly will get back onto ebay and search around to see what there is to offer.
Cheers.

Cheers - good luck! Donā€™t forget the carbon effect red starter button (in one of my photos). Just sticks onto the original one šŸ‘

The biggest difference I found was having the dash dipped and changing the steering wheel

Now that's the ticket there, never thought to get the dash dipped but I'd go that route for sure. Cheers.

I like that a lot!! Just when I thought I was done with mods! Was the dash easy to remove without damaging it?

Yes very easy, you start with the bottom bits at each side and work your way along, you should know mods never seem to end on a Mustang šŸ˜€

Cool thanks for that. Iā€™ll give that a go and look up hydro dipping companies near me. Yeah tell me about it, just got my new wheels so they will be on soon and that was my final mod šŸ¤£
Well plus long tube headers too after that! šŸ¤£

Thanks, I purchased the steering wheel from China, think you will find quite a few on eBay now, yes installed it myself fairly easy install just need a fine screwdriver to unhook the airbag, everything else after that is fairly simple
