So I received my carbon dynamics spoiler but I'm having an issue. The ones who have installed it already, are your mounting base flush with the trunk? Mine seem to not have even contact with the surface of the trunk. If so, should I use a heatgun to push the mounting base so that it can be flush?

By the way, I don't want to take it to a body shop since this is my daily and I know these shops will take forever just for a wing.

Thanks!

It looks like your biggest problem is going to be covering up all the holes from the factory spoiler. Your spoiler mounts to the outside edges and sits up so high in the center you will see the all the unused holes.

Well, I believe it's made of carbon fiber so I don't imagine you could put heat to it or bend it without cracking/breaking it.

Im planning on using the plugs that they will be providing meanwhile.

This is the fiberglass version of the wing.

That just looks wrong. I would not take a chance trying to force it to fit, contact the vendor.

Well, any material shouldn't have to be manipulated that much. I would contact the vendor.

I let them know my situation, hopefully this will get resolved! Really wanted to get my wing installed today, looked amazing just positioned over the trunk.

Step 1 should have been contacting them.

The only words that matter right now is from what they say. Because if someone encouraged you to make it fit and heat it you would have a broken spoiler and be out of however much you spent.

Hope it gets handled.

They gave me some instructions to follow to make it fit. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. Will report back with an update.

Not exactly quality control issues but to many wings are getting damaged in shipment... Hope the fix they provided for you will work!

From what I seen on their little 15 second YouTube video, is your supposed to push the mounting tabs down while screwing into them. Url for the YouTube video was in the little directions where they taped the bolts to
