What's the chances of it going out in 12k miles lol
Honestly? Pretty high. These cars are known for them to last 15-50k or so. New ones will last the same. Order new ones from timkin (best brand possible for bearings of any kind) and be done with it. Same thing with the radiator fans. The passenger side fan bearing fails within 50-100 miles (no effect on performance just makes noise when slowing down/ engine is turned off and the fans slows to a stop)

Okay you helped me weigh out all possibilities, ill jack my car tomorrow and test the wheel bearing and then the back plate and if the noise is still persistent ill go to the shop and see if that was the issue lol
Good luck... My money is at least partially on those headers. That resonance is a noise I will NEVER forget for the rest of my life :) So much so I have swore I will NEVER get headers on this car :)

ill eventually get new ones anyways but still would not make sense since it only popped up after lowering and getting alignment lol. i guess we will see

I'll have others chime in here who know more than me, but my personal speculation would be that maybe the lowering out an increase of force on the wheel bearing causing issues to show up. Similar to how the driveshaft angle/pinion or whatever it's called and stuff can change with certain mods. Although I had my rear bearings both go bad and only found out after a day of drifting and 150+mph stents when I got home and went for an inspection. Both back wheels had between 1.5-2.5 inches of back and forth wiggle (bearings were completely gone) but when driving down the road there was 0 noise no clunks, pops, bangs, clangs or squeals. They were dead silent which is why I never noticed an issue. (I only had the car for like 2 weeks so I never got around to checking it over thoroughly)

You were most likely right, we are going to move the engine over to allow some more room tomorrow. In neutral and turning the sound was almost non existent.

Good luck, that was my conclusion as well, mine was significantly louder if I was on the throttle when turning, like I was giving it the beans coming out of a left hand turn.. I am not exactly sure how he did it, but I do know he loosened the mounts on both sides and was able to scoot the whole engine over a bit. Just be careful, you go too far, the steering shaft will rub on the driver side. :)

Imma have the shop do it for me, only charging me 50 so I'd rather have them do it rather than me on jacks in my driveway lol do you have an IG?

IG? You mean Instagram? Yes if so... And I agree, jacks and stands suck. Lift was the way to go, and my guy did it under "warranty" since he did the headers a few weeks before.

If it’s not the issue with the passenger side header, then check the following:

On passenger side there is also the A/C and it’s been found that with headers that A/C line comes in contact with either the aftermarket header or the inner frame rail - creating sporadic NVH. Some have tied the A/C line away from the frame rail.

On driver side, make sure the steering shaft is not making contact with the header on that side, This has been a common problem with aftermarket headers/downpipes for years on V8 Mustangs. It just needs slight contact to be an anooyance and hard to find the source. Look for witness or rub marks on the header primaries.

When you lower or raise a vehicle, you also change the dynamics of the driveline angles; this means you have now changed the angles at:
Front trans flange
Rear pinion flange
And with a stock 2-piece driveshaft like the S550 has, the center support bearing assembly…

I would check your driveline angles at those intersections to see if adjustments are needed.

I would also check your tires, front strut casings, brake lines, front inner fender liners, wheel wheel edges, and the front belly pan to front wheel liner air intake ducts (if a Performance Pack) for ANY witness/rub marks or cuts on the outer edges or inner edges of the tires. You not only lowered it changing suspension geometry but you’re also running a different set of rims/tire combo than stock too,

it's literally only when turning left. Not while driving straight
If it’s only when turning left, thoroughly inspect that area. If it’s not rubbing on the outside, maybe it’s rubbing on the Inside?

Check your brake pads. Maybe something is stuck?
Check if your tires are touching your break dust shield when you’re turning?

Is the exhaust hot or cold when you took that photo?
If cold, there is even less space when warm.
Yes the problem was solved. The header was scraping against the AC. Moved motor over and now have some free work getting done to my car since shop didn't tighten the motor mount. Problem is now solved and I get to have some free work done for the issue

Good deal. I knew it was one of the two :) My ac block was really close too...

Man you need to come up to East TN end of March to Ponies in the Smokies :). HUGE Mustang gathering...
