Whilst it wasn't mentioned, I would have liked the 20" wheels, rear lip spoiler and the extra dash gauges that you get Stateside.

Has anyone removed the speed limiter on the GT and got anywhere near the 178 mph as mentioned on the video,on an Autobahn of course....If so how did it handle it?

Can't say for a GT or 178mph, but I did 167mph on the Autobahn with my fully loaded (4 suitcases, 10 bottles of olive oil, 12 bottles of wine and bae next to me :lol Ecoboost while coming back from holiday few weeks back.

Handled it like a champ. But, I gotta say, handling has improved a lot imo on wider aftermarket wheels/tires than the stock ones.
