I play a lot of songs in my car. They are all from CDs or cassettes that I’ve owned for years and years loaded onto a USB and I enjoy listening to everyone of them. It just made me think what are some crusing songs from your youth that you love. What made me think of this today was the Journey song “Still They Ride”. I love that song because that’s me now even though I was only 16 at the time. I will still cruise around in my car as long as I live. Any others?

My all time “car music” is a complication of hard rock/metal songs that came out in the mid-90’s. My dad and I used to jam out, much to my mom’s dismay, on almost every road trip we took.

The tape was called “Hot ‘N Heavy” and the track list was something like this:

Ozzy “The Wizard”
Suicidal Tendencies “How Will I Laugh Tomorrow”
Blue Oyster Cult “Godzilla”
Ted Nugent “Cat Scratch Fever”
Edgar Winter Group “Frankenstein”
Europe “The Final Countdown”
Rick Derringer “Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo”
Mountain “Mississippi Queen”

Always takes me to being stuck in the back seat in our “new” 1995 Ford Explorer”.

I blew my first set of Jensen's to this track, on a quad 8-track in my car.

i got my license in 1974 so grew up on the 60s and 70s rock and newer stuff (lots of stones, Beatles, zeppelin, who, beach boys, joplin, Eagles, red hot chili peppers, blue oyster cult, journey etc.), ...
mainly listen to 70s rock on pandora or Classic Vynal or channel 27 Sirius XM.
Currently have Warren Zevon qued up on Pandora but nothing gets that pedal to the metal like Radar Love.....
