So my car has always felt good and strong especially after 4k rpms, even in 90 degree weather here in Florida. I'm running E85 tune with headers, xpipe, JLT intake, ported tb and manifold.

Today I was having a bit of fun on my way to the post office during lunch. Car accelerated great and did a few high rpm/WOT pulls.

On the way back, I was stopped at a light. I went to turn and the car wouldn't move. It was as if I was in neutral. Mind you I was in S (sport mode) on the shifter the whole time before this. After a few seconds it did engage and drove normally.

However, since that point, I noticed the car doesn't pull hard anymore under WOT or heavy partial throttle even from 4k to 7000rpms. It makes a lot of noise but doesn't really accelerate as quickly as before. I can tell something is definitely off. It felt pretty good driving aggressively just 30 minutes prior.

I waited till later this evening where it cooled to 80's and also allowed the car to cool. That acceleration is still gone, it's as if alot of timing is being pulled. It'll still accelerate, just not quite like before.

I'm attaching a quick log here in case anyone wants to look.

Is something familiar that others might have experienced? Perhaps a valve body issue? Or did the car just get way too heat soaked? I'll test again tomorrow after the car cools overnight.

Sounds like a possible transmission issue

Well, took it out for a spin today and it appears to be back to normal. Car pulls strong again (considering the heat).

Moral of the story is don't go WOT when it's 95 degrees outside. Car will get heat soaked FAST and it will take a long time to recover even after you shut it off, driving like molasses before then.

I live in Orlando too, have a 2018 GT Premium A10 with an E85R tune and the other mods listed in my sig but I have never had this problem. Worst I get is an 'idle hunt' issue while at a stoplight sometimes for like 3 seconds. I would send those logs to your tuner just in case you arent running into a lean condition.

Also, are you on the Florida e85 Facebook group? We regularly test the E85 stations all over and post results so you know you're getting quality stuff!

Yeah I sent him the logs (Trevor at PBD) and he said nothing looked out of the ordinary. If you go out now and do a WOT run (I did about 3 within 15 minutes), as it's almost 95 degrees now, maybe you can do a test and see if you run into the same issue

Also I'm part of that E85 group. I usually fill up at Wawa by Orlando airport.

Ah yeah, 6500 Semoran? Im out in Clermont and the mobil 2 miles from my place tested E83 on Monday, otherwise I do the Turkey Lake rest stop. When I was giving it the beans on Monday( I rip around a small twisty local road where I live) I didn't notice anything when going full or half WOT and I was doing pulls with traction AND advancetrak fully off as well, did about 5-6 pulls. All the way to about 7600RPM too. The transmission will get heat soaked on a track for sure, but from what I have heard it can take a couple laps of hard driving to do so. Still doesn't sound out of the question but I don't know. I would check your diff/trans temp if it ever happens again.

Interesting. I'll see if the issue pops up again. Hopefully it's not anything too serious and just heat soak, I'd be a SOL if I needed major warranty work with these mods in place. Will definitely be monitoring temps.

Not sure of the exact address, but I have two quality stations nearby. Wawa by the airport that tests 85 and higher, and Michigan Citgo that recently tested E87. I hear Turkey Lake is great also but a bit of a drive for me.
