Wow thanks for you detailed information :)

Im guessing the different oil squirters won't be big difference. Is there a specific reason why you switched out the rods? More power?

It'll be interesting to see someone turn the Aluminator into the Voodoo.

I'll make sure to invest in getting a FP crank, incase I'll need a new engine in the future.
If you look out there are deals out there .
Here is complete voodoo long block for $7K

Or you could replace your voodoo with a Cobra jet engine sans supercharger for a little less...$19K

You won’t like it without the supercharger as it’s a 9.7/1 motor .

if you want one with the blower from Ford ... it’s $35K !!!

The cobra jet motor is a good deal thought as it’s $27K from Ford ...they are local to me so I may go check it out ..

edit ... must be on sale now as you do get the supercharge for $27K . Lol
so about same as adding the whipple to the one that cost $19K (so NOT a deal ) . Lol
it would likely cost 1/2 to build that your self .

The only thing they didn't do that I wish they did from the factory was direct injection. If that didn't give us a few extra hp, it would have at least given us slightly better fuel economy! Fuel economy isn't all that important for a toy car for me, but 16mpg combined still just comically bad :cwl:

Better yet, just by the Cobra Jet car. Fred Beans Ford in Boyertown, PA has a new 2018 CJ drag car. Price is $169k and that includes a spare engine. I think that's a pretty good deal.

They had it at their Doylestown showroom (where I go for service) for a few months and the car is just bananas. Really beautifully made. The salesman there said it sounded like a WW2 airplane when they started it up to put it in the showroom.

Oh there are pictures......you just went to the Beans Doylestown branch web site. Here's the pics, at the Beans Boyertown branch website:

https://www.fredbeansboyertown.com/...b0a0e0a176a8d7b38ad959728.htm?searchDepth=1:3

Unfortunately, they don't show pics of the engine. When it was at the Doylestown showroom, they had the hood up all the time. When I filled out the paperwork to buy my GT350, I was sitting 5 feet from the Cobra Jet. Maybe I should have bought it!

And here's a quick blurb from MT on the car:
https://www.motortrend.com/cars/ford/mustang/2018/2018-ford-mustang-cobra-jet-first-look-review/#:~:text=The 2018 Mustang Cobra Jet,available anniversary badging and graphics.

So it seems like it's 130K. Beans wants 169K with a spare engine included so maybe it's not as hot of a deal as I thought. Still,. the one I saw has the anniversary badging and might have other options, so maybe it is a good deal. I think they wanted in the 180's for it back in July when I saw it.
I did think it was funny that the passenger seat had a label that said something like "WARNING: This is not a real seat. This is installed only to meet Super Stock Requirements. Do not ride in this seat". Yeah, like I'm piloting an 8-sec. car and I've got a passenger....

8 second passes cause the passenger to shed clothes (you know like that stereo that could blow them off) so yeah, someone might be tempted to have a passenger...
