Hey. I figured the 4 banger crowd might be interested in this if you haven't seen it already. C&D compares a 335hp Camaro RS v6 to an EB Premium. I won't bore you with why they said the Camaro is better but here are the performance numbers.
0-60 Camaro 5.5, EB 5.6
1/4 mile Camaro 14.2@99. EB14.0@102
300 ft. Skid pad. Camaro 0.89g. EB 0.94g
Vehicle weigh Camaro 3484. EB 3632

So despite being 200 pounds heavier. The EB more than holds its own with the newer, lighter, more powerful V6!!!
And gets better gas mileage in the process!:clap2:
Let's slap some bolt ons on each car and watch how quick the gap widens.

I'll have to give this a read. A lil surprised by the weight of the EB. But the premium does add a lot of stuff. However, part of the reason I prefer base models, if I recall correctly my car registered at 3486 lbs.
Not surprised by the results thou, the EB can hold it's own in its class but seems to always be the underdog. Just a tune away for some nice gains.

The article was almost funny on how they describe the V6s exhaust note. I usually like Car and Driver over most other car mags. But good grief they got carried away.

Didn't anyone tell you? The 2.0T is going to be the saving grace of the 6th Gen platform. It will single handedly outsell all Mustang trim levels.

Ewww...

Look at the Camaro's road holding ability. Poor tire selection? Skinny track? Chassis flex?

Showing its age year 1???

What a pathetic opening year... The lighter car is great in all but, removing enough metal to make the car suck is going too far. Maybe adding in some of the 1SS's sub frame connectors or re-engineering the structure back in like the ATS-V.

The ATS is a better car...

I have the article, besides the 0-60 ecoboost mustang dominated in every catagory. Its funny people try to put the ecoboost in the 4 banger camaro catagory while even v6 doesn't even keep up with it. Not even that they think a v6 camaro has a chance against a gt:lol: I say sweet dreams:thumbsup:

Thanks for the article!

Since a full bolt on EBM will just about hang with a GT350 it would be faster than even an SS. a V6 is not even in the same class.

Great comparison, especially given the hype the V6 Camaro received from the media about how it's a "true blue sports car" and made it seem like it was the steal of the century.
