December issue. Only performance numbers, no track. The Camaro was a fully loaded 2ss with sunroof, Magride and NPP with 8 speed. The Mustang was. Premium GTPP.

For reference, the 2010 mustang gt ran a 13.5 quarter mile at 104.2.

The 2016 mustang gt referenced in that article ran 13.0. There's a 0.5s gap between the 2010 mustang gt and the new 2016 mustang gt.

There's a 0.7s gap between the 2016 camaro ss and the 2016 mustang gt. The 4.6L 3V vs the coyote is the kind of straight line performance gap we're talking between this new camaro and mustang.

The braking distance on the Mustang is way off what others have gotten, like 149 ft that I share in other threads around here. Their .94G is way low, too.

Same with the 0-150...GTPP did it in 25.4 or 25.5 seconds in another test.

Kudos to GM, fast Camaro they have hitting the market.

They still show the gas tank as 19G? I thought it was 16?

numbers are all over the place
30-50 top gear at 9 secs?
50-70 at 8.6?
That alone makes me wonder.

Camaro was an A8 and the Mustang a manual 6sp hence the speed differences.

Numbers and comparisons don't matter at all to me. I don't buy into this Mustang vs Camaro thing at all. You couldn't pay me to own a Camaro... maybe if they actually put a little thought into its looks.

The users manual is up on the chevrolet website. It also shows a 19 gallon fuel tank.

Yep, I also thought 16 gal. So that means they could of dropped another 20lbs. But I have 19 in mine, and have no issue. Less trips to gas station.:D

I love my 5.slow! I like driving 6spd, if I wanted the fastest 1/4 mile mustang I would of got an auto. I sold my last mustang and got a 99 ss because I got tired of getting beat by them. I won't make that mistake again.:headbonk: This time it will be for a C7 with maybe another mustang in between.:clap2:
