Why did they stop at 7000rpm? Looks like it was still climbing.

Peak power is around 7k, We did three dyno pulls on mine and the 3 averaged peak power was 422rwhp/390rwtq @6940 only mod was a PBD 93 tune.

I have added MBRP O/R LT's and a Flowmaster Outlaw 3" exhaust since ... I haven't dyno'd it but butt dyno sez low end torque is much improved..

Hopefully this crazy wet weather we've had this winter will move so I can switch to a PBD E85 tune in a couple weeks ..

Hard to tell unless you pull past 7000rpm. Some cars in the dyno thread were making peak hp closer to 7100. I mean the difference may be minimal, but I would prefer to have my pull go past the peak to around redline.

Yeah I’d agree, I wasn’t doing the tune so I can’t speak on that.

Hope this help

^^^^ Great comparison on the dyno between stock intake & mufflers vs aftermarket intake & mufflers. Almost a wash.

Yep indeed. We had a 2018 and a 2019 GT 10R80, same OEM PP1 wheels and everything do back to backs recently (dont have graphs unfortunately) with the same Lund E85R tune, one with all stock items otherwise and the other with a JLT CAI and axle backs. The JLT car "made" 6-8 more rwhp with the hood up vs the other car (462ish vs 455whp SAE smoothing 5 in 7th gear). However, with the hood closed, the JLT car made 452/453whp repeatedly, taking out the false gains, despite have two 80mph fans blowing up the intake pipe for both cars on all runs. Timing on the Ngauge logs was the same for both and MAF curves were smooth.

2018 OEM intake runs great!

This is my opinion and many will/do get their panties all wadded up in a bunch over it... Ive tried to explain this before, but people don't usually get it.
They always point to some YouTube dyno video or dyno graphs. I want to see time slips. And more than 3. There are so many factors and consistency is key.
This is why they dyno with the hood open, so they can get actual gains, to sell their products.
I doubt people would spend $400 for 1-2 HP if the products were advertised that way.
Instead they think they're getting 15 HP, but it's just mainly the sound that's fooling them into thinking they're getting it. The human mind is good at playing tricks like this.
Think of it as how much faster your car feels after installing a loud exhaust(factory headers). You think your going faster, making more power and people observing you will say the same, but you're wrong and you're not.

I agree, if it makes power it should with the hood down for an intake. PMAS I think does a bit, but it was wild to see the whole graph drop almost 9-10 whp and tq with the hood down.

After having a PMAS on my 2016 the fitment and quality was horrid. Ill never buy a PMAS again. I dont care how much more it supposedly makes. Ill stick with a JLT that seals against the hood or factory airbox with a better lid.
