Never owned a Mustang before and found one I'm interested in out of state. Got a lemon squad inspection done and was wondering if you guys would mind looking over some of the pictures and giving your opinions.

It's a 2017 Ecoboost Premium with 60k miles.

From the inspection report:
"There is oil around the oil filter to a drip that may be from a leak here or lack of cleaning after oil change. The area should be cleaned off and rechecked to verify if a leak exists. The rear differential shows fluid seepage. The seller replaced the right side axle shaft seal and appears may still be leaking."

60k is a bunch of miles on a 17 how much do they want for it. Drive it before you buy and look for crash damage.

Oil filter leak looks to just be the filter gasket, or the filter's base seam. New filter should cure that. Hard to say about the axle seal, I don't see wet fluid in any photos.

Get a Carfax report too.

The rear diff on most S550’s where the axle goes into the diff will show slight dampness or staining, even on a brand new S550 - it’s normal. If there is actual fluid running out of the axle seal on the diff and onto the floor, then be concerned.

The oil seepage up on the filter could be 1 of 2 things:

1) Oil filter not secured or gasket seepage as mentioned above, put new oil filter on and monitor.

2) The oil pressure sensor was known to be loose on the 2015-2017 EB’s and it would leak (seep) oil. If left unattended or if it’s really loose it could be coming down off the block onto other areas.

The other images appear to be showing the right side (turbo side) of the engine, looking up at the down pipe. I’m not sure of the purpose of those pics, but if the inspector sees oil there, then the turbo line connections need to be inspected to make sure they are not loose.

60k on a 2017 is quite a bit of miles to some people, but those could just be highway miles if prior owner worked distance.

If the car is being sold by a Ford Dealer, ask the Dealer to run an OASIS report on it. That report will show all prior maintenance and warranty repair history. If it’s not at a Ford Dealer, I’m sure someone on here who works at Ford would be able to run one for you.

What’s the asking price? With those miles and not knowing anything else about body/interior condition, or what options it has, it should be ball parking at about $23k-$26k. The higher end being a PP equipped vs lower end being a base EB. Give or take a little depending on your region for retail Mustang pricing. Some regions are higher or lower than others.

That filter looks like the old gasket is still stuck to the engine. Seems to be quite a gap there, at least compared to any of the filters I've changed on mine. If you buy, get that checked/fixed before driving off the lot.
