Anyone know if the stock GT exhaust can somehow fit in the trunk with the rear seats folded down? (the suitcase back to the tips) When looking at the car from the rear, the exhaust is wider then the trunk opening so it appears as an obvious no.....but....I didnt know if anyone has found a clever way like angling the mufflers first then walking it in, tips first, toward the front, etc.

An awesome member on here is willing to give me one an hour away this weekend if I pick it up, but all I have is my mustang and a 2hr trip or so to find out it wont fit would suck

Is it one complete piece, rather than two separate pieces?
To me the obvious answer is, if it's a single unit, to just cut it and re-weld it when you get it back. Then again, my garage might look different from your own.

Thanks guys, didnt think so, but I was hoping there was a magical way so I can get rid of these ugly v6 exhaust tips. Csrs leased so I cant cut up the factory exhaust on it now for an Axle back system, and I cant afford a $700 plus cat back, so I was hoping this factory bolt on swap would be doable.

Its the portion circled

Cut it on the red lines shown. Then you can use band clamps that can be purchased at any autoparts store ($25 total) to put it back together.

Yea i swapped my 1 piece stock exhaust for my Corsa and i would say there is no way for it to fit in the car. If it did it would stick way out with the trunk open and probably get you pulled over or worse someone hits you from behind.
