Amazing show for the GT500 CFTP. It kept up with the GT3 RS turn for turn, and actually was ahead most of the lap, until he lost it momentarily near the end of the lap. I think his expression "What a Mustang!" summed it up well.Just watch this. A little less talk and a lot more action.
Great video. It appear by steering input the mustang was smoother at the start. But an incident in which he almost lost it result in the gap as u stated. Wonder how many laps they did and how repeatable the lap times were for each carAmazing show for the GT500 CFTP. he looks quicker in the 500 until that mistakeGreat video. It appear by steering input the mustang was smoother at the start. But an incident in which he almost lost it result in the gap as u stated. Wonder how many laps they did and how repeatable the lap times were for each car
It really is amazing how fast this 500 is 10.60s at 133+ 1/4 mile times. Able to run right with a GT3 RS on the track. Most importantly not punishing you on the street to achieve these goals.Amazing show for the GT500 CFTP. X2THIS
Every single person, wife included, has said how comfortable the car is, with Recaro's.
500 is definitely the agile linebacker that can place at the front of a triathlon. The ZLE can’t swim well and struggles on the bike.X2
When the ZL1 1LE/GT500 CFTP head-to-head ever occurs, even if the outcome has the ZL1 with the faster lap time on a given track, it still will not change the fact that the GT500 will still be a true "GT" car while the ZL1 1LE will have you looking for new kidneys and fillings after driving on the street.
I think thats why Camaros dont sell. Not because theybare bad performers, but there is no connection. It doesnt look fast, doesnt look sleek or slippery, or aggressive. Its just.. there.. kinda good looking, but not really, kinda sporty, but still looks bulky. It has identity issues.Just listened to a podcast with Bruce Meyer and he nailed it for me. You have to love a car. That means not just the way it drives but also the way it looks. And looks are subjective, but I think the GT350 and GT500 look so much better than any of the Camaros. I think Ford did a great job with the design language.
This is true. However, the Cup2R laptime advantage over the Cup2s doesn't last very long. If the owner had been to the track once or twice on these tires already and worked the tires hard each time then they had probably already dropped off to about what a regular Cup 2 would do. It is a big price premium for the extra performance and it doesn't last long.I wouldn’t assume that.
The 991.2 GT3RS has the Cup2R as standard equipment. It’s possible it had regular Cup2, but can’t be certain.
Shit, even exotics racing is using the Cup2R now.
That is a GREAT photo.
