Does anyone have the part number for the “California Special” trunk emblem as shown in the pic below.

And if the owner of this CS is a member here, I do apologize for using your photo. But this is the best pic I could find to show what I am talking about.

Hi Derek, just found this on the California Special Worldwide Mustang Club on Facebook. Might be a decal, not sure.

Thanx, I am a member of that club. Never even dawned on me to ask there.

Anyone here take off their hood and side stripes on their 2015-2017 CS? Debating whether to take it off... not a fan of the vinyl...

I have 19’ GT/CS but have seen a number of 15-17’. I think they look great. They are an integral part of the CS package. If that’s not important to you, by all means remove them. It’s your car. Of course you can always have them painted on.

I had thought about replacing the stripes with something more defined but then I realized it was the subtlety of them and the other elements that makes the car what it is...

I just think they look a little bit tacky and take away from the paint reflection. I like the 'clean' look

Honestly, the entire CS package could be considered "tacky". Many thought that in 1968 (probably why they didn't sell them all). I love mine with the stripes. You don't, so off the come. The good news if you change your mind they can always be put back on.

I took mine off the day I got the car.
I really didn't like them and as it works they came off like a snap and you cannot tell they were ever there.
I love everything else that is CS specific - but the $15 side stripes had to go.

Those $15 stripes cost about $150 each to replace.

Tacky.... I guess that one opinion. Taking away from paint reflection......maybe, I guess. But some colours just look alittle too much without breaking it up. My white CS vert would look much too white without the black trim, including the vinyl stripes IMO. But lucky for you, you can easily remove them. I am gonna keep mine, as I love the look.

I think they look great on the white cars. My car is white and I like them, I think the cars are just too plain without stripes.
