Great job Bud!!! She is looking great. I see you did the Diode Dynamics Switchbacks.... I just bought the DD sequential signal lights. Looks like you went in though the sides behind the fender liners, rather than removing the belly pan and doing it that way.

Having stated all that, are there any things I should be aware of if I decide to do my install the way you did yours??

Thanx

Thank you for the kind words Fordever,

If you are referring to the blubs them self then yes it is doable from the fender liner all you need to do is lift the car so you do not strain your shoulder and wrist and turn the wheels towards the car on the side you will be working on and have someone help hold the liner back as you twist the main bulb plug and install the new DD LED light.

if you are referring to the whole signal housing ill gladly explain that as well.

You might need a pair of resistor kits from DD so you do not get hyper blinking in the cabin.

Thanx for the reply. And yes I am referring to the whole housing. I purchased the full sequential signal light kit. As far as I know these are just plug and play... no need to install anything else. But I have to remove the full signal/fog assembly. And I saw you used a jack to do this. I want to do jt the same way and way just wondering about any weird things to be aware of before I jack it and start.

My apologies. I misspoke. My sequentials are Raxiom, not Diode Dynamics. :frown: But the idea is exactly the same. I need to remove the full housing

In that case, you will have to get a lift or borrow one to lift that car because doing it from the liner will be extremely difficult to almost impossible and you might hurt your self, I suggest lifting the car up on jack stands and removing the from wheels;
once the wheels are off I would then take off the wheel liners (not fully) then start at the bottom of the car and remove the belly pan and water shield.

Once you have that you can get to the bottom when you will find 3 to 4 screw that is holding the housing to the bumper and body clips as shown on the next photo

5.jpg

You will need to apply some pressure once the screws are out to remove the housing from the bumper, please note to unplug anything on the housing to avoid any damage.

once removed you will unscrew another set of screws that will detach the signal light from the foglight

2.jpg

Once you are done assembling the new signal light and foglight together you would place it back with some pressure from the outside of the bumper and on the housing unit from the inside till you hear a CLICK! sound then screw it back to the bumper. (there should be 3 clicks if I am not mistaken)

Then plug your kit together and make sure all is working, if you get hyper blinking just buy the resistor kit I told you about from DD it is inexpensive and does the trick.

Always get a set of helping hands, you will always need it :)

Yeah, I am still “winter” parked. I only get 6-7 months each year to enjoy her. But I am very close.

Oh, one more thing, your door handles??? Black, aftermarket or OE?

Very nice! I don't ever recall seeing that style of coyote fender emblems before. Where did you get those from?
