CA pricing - San Leandro Ford $7,995 ADM !!!

So we're in the Bay Area visiting family, my wife is shopping at the outlet mall. I walk across the street to San Leandro Ford to check out Mustangs.

They have several dozen on their lot, probably 40-50, in all flavors - GT, EcoBoost, coupe, convertible.

They have a $7,995 ADM on each one!!!

The convertibles have an additional appx. $3,000 of dealer installed options on top of that ('premium leather treatment').

Do you Californians really pay that kind of absolutely insane pricing??? In Oregon, my dealer quoted me $400 below invoice. With the additional Ford discount at the time I took delivery, my cost ended up being about $6,500 below MSRP.

How does a California dealer have the gall to add $7,995 to the sticker of every Mustang, now that the country is swimming in them and invoice (or below) deals are common everywhere else? Is the Bay Area really so full of so many Google millionaires with more money than common sense?

Small world, I moved to Portland from that part of the bay area to get away from price gouging and ridiculous real estate pricing.

Dealers will ask for what they want but its up to you to negotiate it down. But there are people that will lay down for the adm or bargain down to STICKER price!

Yes he is right. I was shopping around in the Sunnyvale, San Jose and Fremont.

I did find some dealers doing ridiculous ADM while others were doing invoice or below. Your best bet is the X-Plan if you aren't able to avoid the ADM at any dealership close to you.

I would even go as far as buying the vehicle within 100-200mi radius and have a job ride back home.
