it probably doesn't help traction but a crisper (violent?) shift strategy like the Porsche PDK sounds "cooler".

Pity they won't put a sequential shifter in the center console instead of (also?, detachable) shifter paddles. You have to take your hand off the wheel to shift, G Dm IT!!! Fkn kids and their damn game consoles. Go play Mario-cart on the PS2 and leave the cars the hell alone...

I like the sound of that thing. Hopefully they have improved on it. Our 2016 Z06 was a rattle trap on the inside. We kept it for about a year and a half and got rid of it. TBH, for the cost of any car nowadays, they should be much tighter and refined. Make em fast and take the buyer’s cash is all the manufacturers seem to be worried about.

What do you mean? The Voodoo sounds the way it does because of the firing order, not the construction. Personally I prefer it, it's very unique. Sounds like a mash up of a cross plane and flat plane engine.

oh I think their computer simulations showed them there was going to be plenty of problems but they thought they could cheat/get away with it by tinkering with some weights. Jury's out on that IMO.

The ferrari crank looks like a 4 cylinder crank. The outside throws are up when the inside throws are down. So first pair up second pair down third pair down forth pair up

The VooDoo has alternate throws. First pair up, second pair down third pair up forth pair down

I wonder what's wrong with left and right bank at 180deg out of phase... Ferrari style but when R bank is up, the corresponding L set is down. Too much rocking couple, maybe?

Or say a 20deg bank angle (single head) and turn the engine on it's side. In motorcycle-land the MotoCzysz C1 did a riff on this and by using big-bang instead of scream, was able to get the power down.

I'm betting that thing will absolutely spank a Ford GT for half the money. Should be pretty nasty, I won't be buying one though.

Here's to hoping they tank the C7Z prices so I can enjoy the last great front engine, manual Corvette.
