Buying used Cup 2’s

Like the title says, I have found a local R owner who pulled his Cup 2’s with 600 or so miles on them and has had them garage kept in a warm climate. Production date stamp is 1018. Tires look good condition with no patches. $500 bucks for the set. Would I be crazy to pass these for track day use? I’ve never considered used tires so I am kind of clueless is this is a good or bad idea. Thanks for any suggestions.

That’s a great deal assuming they don’t have track use (which they don’t appear to have.). Good find!

For reference, I have 4 sets of takeoff tires ready for this track season. I usually don’t buy them with more than 300 miles, but you’re getting a great deal (especially since it’s local.)

I have bought 5 sets ranging from 40-250 miles but I'm paying $1000......$500 is a great deal and if you don't take them I'd consider buying them. Let me know if you don't.
