So i had a 17 gt it got totaled and i was shaken up so i went to a F150. So i currently drive a lifted 2015 F150 3.5. needless to say I'm a little bored the truck is great for what it is. I live in chicago so middle of winter at moment.

Option A is they have a 17 gt grabber blue premium 6mt for 30k
Option b wait and order a 18 or 19 come march and get it after winter ?

Only option i really want is the digital cluster in the 18. I will be staying with a stick the auto is fast but i like shifting.

Im really trying to wait until after winter but i miss the mustang. I guess this is a way to get my feet wet back on the forum.

Well I think you answered your own question if you want the digital cluster. The truck's nice, honestly if I owned it I'd have a hard time taking the beating at the dealer on the trade.

Did you wreck the 15 too? Might wanna keep the truck.

muahahah no 15 went for other reasons and to be fair i didn't wreck anything. so 70 yr old lady hit me head on and sent her to the hospital. wont take a beating i put enough down to where its worth what i owe. I will lose on on mods but pay to play.

My only thing with the 18 the 6 speed doesn't seem to have any upgrades from the research i have done.

Only significant reason to get the 18 over a 17 is the auto, IMO. I'd suggest leasing if you are the type that gets bored of cars quickly.

I believe the 18 6 speed has a few upgrades like the twin disk clutch, but it is still the mt-82

The 6 spd definitely has quite a few changes. Twin plate clutch, metal shift forks, revised ratios (not for the better).

How about a 17 GT350 with 5,8xx miles? LOL. Mine is for sale. Check the classifieds.

But like others have said, the cluster is cool but if you don't care about getting the 10 speed, get the 17 GT and save some $$$$. Or buy my 17 and have a killer 6 speed with 526 HP!!!!!!

Is that 17 GT Premium 30k new, or used? If new, that's a great deal. Even used that's a great deal.

Its all a matter of opinion on which to get. I went through something similar as you a month ago. I sold my barely driven 16 V6 to get into a 17 Grabber Blue GT, because I love the color and dislike the 2018 front end. I wanted to get a 5.0 in what will be one of the rarer colors down the road, with the correct front end.

The MT82 will likely perform very similar between the revisions, and the 35hp bump with a 6 speed probably can't be felt much. The 10 speed is what makes the 18 much faster, not the extra 35hp (obviously it helps some, though). I've never driven the 18 to know for fact.

So, think about your options, only you can make the decision. If you want an awesome color only made for 1 year, and saving a decent chunk of money, get the 17. If you like the new redesign, power train changes and the guages, then pay the 15k price difference and go with the 18. Either way, you can't go wrong! (If your dead set on getting rid of your truck)

18 with the improved 6 speed. No brainer.
Much better car overall.

18 GT, no competition. Probably wait a few months and buy one off the lot once order banks open up for the 19s, might be a little bit cheaper.

I'd buy the '17. Wait a couple years to get the digital dash and save a lot of dough!
