I'm going to be joining the Mustang group shortly after I return from deployment. It is currently a question for me to either go ahead and buy a GT350 2018 or wait for the release of the 2019. I haven't seen a date officially but i hear Feb-ish time frame. Is it worth the wait for the 2019? I do love the design, especially the wing!

Thanks!

First, thanks for your service and happy Veterans Day (coming up). Your vote is a hard one as the 18's have some great deals now but the 19's have those new perks (wheels, spoiler, etc). Just so you know, there's about a $3.5k increase in price overall (roughly) from 18 to 19. Whichever way you go, I'm sure you'll love it.

I voted 2018, but that was mainly to see the results. I'm actually 50/50, could go either way with the 2018 discounts being very good now and still an amazing machine.

I got $5k off my 2018 this week. Let’s assume that the 2019 is an MSRP car... that’s an $8.5k difference. In my case it wasn’t worth the wait. YMMV

I'd go for the 19 assuming the price delta is acceptable. Take your time, at some point the GT500 will be hyped...

I would def change out the spoiler, as I love the 2019 version! That kinds of my main reason for the debate, plus with no date of release I don't know how long I will be waiting to get it.

A little birdie told me the post launch 18MY GT350s (a few months after they were released, around when the GT350Rs started shipping) is the most robust engine yet, with the 19s being even better. I've sold my 17 and have an agreement on a 19. The order books haven't opened up yet though.

apparently books have opened for 2019: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/official-2019-gt350-order-guide.111496/page-4#post-2382535 . that said, it seems some dealers cant order and some can. maybe there is a priority or a gradual release to some and not others...?

I'd personally wait for the 2019 if only for the revised ABS tuning. Billy Johnson said it was a HUGE difference and I trust his opinion so for that alone I'd wait.

Hard to say since the answer will vary based on your personal perspective I think. If money and wait time isn’t a concern, then I’d probably hold out for the 19. But if the money is a significant concern and you’re hoping to have it soon, then I’d go with the 18.

Novice me, but don't they have the same.... so could you not revise the ABS in the 2018?

I believe the physical parts are the same but the software behind the ABS tuning was tweaked. He said you can't reflash the older models with the newer tune. Hopefully someone finds a way to get it done but I don't think there's enough of a demand for something like that.

Iron, thank you for your service ! Welcome ! We are happy and honored you are joining our group,

I voted 18 since I have one and personally am not a fan of the 19 350 wing. If you go 19, can I recommend performance blue. Love the color.

A general question to all - what engine changes are being made for the 19? Horsepower difference? Or is it more a clean up of the weak spots in the 15-18 motors

engine the same. changes are slight suspension tweaks, rear spoiler, wheels, new tires, slight interior updates.

For the interior. I see the speakers have been upgraded, is the center console different at all or software?
