That article is really reaching. I agree, its not likely to happen - not soon, anyway. As far as a fit in the lineup it would be very similar to the 1LE/ZR1 scenario? Both are very track focused versions of the Camaro. Given that example, there is room for a mid-tier V8 track option. EB, GT, Boss/Mach, GT350, GT500? It fits. (not including the Bullitt in there since it will likely be on par with a CS version of the GT)

They're reading way too much into this.

The idea behind showing the S197 boss was that if you loved the performance of the old Boss and loved that Mustang then obviously you'll love this one.

It's meant to draw a connection, like showing a guy working on his classic F100 and then getting into a new F150.

Gimme my heritage sounding Highland Green slightly trimmed with chrome finish in the front grille area with no slats and no pony logo with 10 more hp than the GT's V8 that has a engine turned instrument panel surround for 40K and no markup so I can be cool like Steve McQueen even though only a few people will understand me. Whew! I think I got it all :-)

I'd say that Boss 302 article is as accurate as people claiming 455hp/755hp was leaked on the digital dashboard.

It will ne Dark Highland Green, like the rest...

Fun fact: The color on the 08 Bullitts is slightly different from the 01s. The 01s have "Dark Highland Green" and theb08s have "Highland Green Clearcoat Metallic".

Both were a little off from the real 60s Highland Green though. I'm hoping they make it closer to the real color this time.

My guess would be that it will be the same chrome trim that is used on the premium pack export models:

The 01 is closer to the original color, but 1968 would have been lacquered paint with no clearcoat, so modern paint will never look quite the same.

My hope is that's just something in the design drawings, but not something that makes production. A Bullitt doesn't need more shiny bits.

When I detail my 08, I'm always surprised at how few trim bits there are (be it black plastic or satin metal finished).

The grille, cowl and window surrounds are black plastic. The faux rear gas cap is satin metal finish. That's it.
