No that is not correct. I am no expert. Bullitt's have a unique VIN number compared to non Bullitt Mustangs. Also my understanding is that export Bullitt's also have a different VIN sequencing than North American Bullitt's. All Bullitts are 55xxxxx. Non Bullitt Mustangs are in the 51xxxxx. Here is GT Premium from my local dealer inventory(.........K5115724).
not all Bullitts are "55xxxx" there are some that start with 51xxxx - including mine... which is "1FA6P8V01K5110337"

Yeah VINs are all over the place, mine doesn't have a V in it for example like yours. Mine lines up with BrettT's statement of 55xxxx. I know that it's unique to Bullitts because my car is VIN 12 and I know there were way more than 11 regular 2019 GTs built before mine (not to mention the other Bullitts with earlier VINs). Maybe after the early cars they just randomized the VINs or something.

With the exception of the "Check Digit" (9th number in the VIN) and the serial numbers all Bullitt VIN's should be identical. As far as the information from the VIN goes, all our cars are the same.

1FA: Ford North America, passenger car
6: Seatbelts & front/side airbags
P8K: Coupe, BULLITT
O: 5.0L, 480 hp, V8
9th: Check Digit
K: 2019 model year
5: Factory, AAI, Flat Rock, MI
12 - 17: Serial Number

I think you will find that the 7th digit for the RHD cars is a "V" rather than a "K"

P8K: Coupe, BULLITT
P8V: Coupe, BULLITT RHD

Well that explains why our VINs don't match our car numbers.

Hi all, I am new to this forum. I am already waiting on my Bullitt.. :)
I got some numbers for Europe: Total: 1000, where: Germany 500, France 82, Italy 68 (confirmed), Poland 30, Czech Republic up to 10. Europe seems to be strictly limited. I bought mine in Poland where my delaer ordered 9 and got only five and they have to cancel the additional orders.
Spain 39 Bullitt s

Just wondering,

Did Ford carry over the Bullitt Production Numbers into 2020?

Meaning and for better clarification, if Ford has allotted build for say 8,000 total Bullitts (totally made up hypothetical number) - and say in 2019, there was 5,000 built and serialized K0001 through K5000 (again totally hypothetical K numbers)... in 2020, did the number pick up from say 5,001?

Again, my numbers above are merely for discussion and are NOT representative of any known Bullitt Serial Numbers or actual units built.

In my opinion the serial number will reset with the letter “K” transitioning to an “L”. I am guessing that 2019 build-out will occur in June, model change over in July, and 2020 production starting in August.

Regular car serial numbers do not reset with a change in model year, so I am thinking it will carry on. But, then L00001, will be more sought after than L05001. I personally think they should continue with the number sequence, because it is a single special edition car.

Any guesses as to.. changes, additions of any kind or??? Man, I’ve never had so many positive comments about a car as I have had so far with this BULLITT!! mostly from the drive-by”s...honking and thumbs up etc!! My wife is somewhat miffed with all this attention!! Car show season is here in our neck of the woods!! Will start the Ceramic Coating process on the 22nd! ... a 4 day to “done” process... it’ll POP for sure!!

I would hope Ford would at least... have a “BULLITT SPECIFIC” center cap instead of the Kazillion Pony cpas on all the other Stangs!!! And Ford models!!!

The 2020 Bullitts will have the 'L' suffix and start from 0001, just like the GT350s have been doing for the last couple of years.
