If custom home from the get go, wire garage for cat5/6, coax, maybe even in wall speaker cable, make sure you have 15 amp regular electrical sockets every 8 feet plus maybe even 220 on a wall closest to the breaker panel.


Never know what you may want to do out there in the future.


Built an 875 sqft garage last feb. Running coax/cat6/inwall speakers along with electrical sockets everywhere was the smartest thing I ever did.

To bad that for now I'm stuck to getting a house in the suburbs for now due to $$ and time constraints, but you perfectly described my retirement home for the future

Retrofitting my shop with a 100A dedicated 120/240 panel was an incredibly good decision.
