Totally agree that time line certainly went by very quickly.
Whatever the case a very cool R model and with an interesting story centered around a FRAP chassis plate mess up to boot!

Thanks and as was noted earlier your VIN had been posted almost 4 years ago on this same thread but I did not pick up on it.
Did the original owner or yourself ever receive a correct chassis plate from Ford for your R model such as the one that I have attached?
If so, what is your correct chassis number?
For future reference, all 2015-2017 R models had a VIN that started with "1FAT" such as yours but for the 2018MY thru to the 2020 MY Ford for some reason changed the start of the VIN's for the R models to start with "1FA6" which was exactly the same VIN designation as the regular GT350's and lumped both models together for the last 3 MY's.

no I have not got another badge I do not know about previous owner. Will ford or can they supply a R name badge. And how do you go about getting that??

Based on my experience Ford Performance has replaced wrong chassis plates for some 2020 HEP R's that were issued incorrectly at the FRAP but not sure if they will do something for your 2017 R but certainly does not hurt to give them a call and hope that they come through for you!
Call Ford Performance at 800-367-3788 and explain your situation after which time hopefully they will get your situation rectified for you!

Do you have the owners supplement to the car? There is documentation stating the chassis number.
I'd be willing to sell you my chassis tag for $80k. I'll even throw in the rest of the car at that price. J/K LOL.

That chassis plate above is not for sale. I have one and I sent one to Harry a while back. I have since reached out to the seller to see if they have any more, but so far nothing but crickets. I'd be interested to see what FP says, but I think its been too long.
