What are you doing to reduce the oil pressure to the turbos?
Good question. They come with restrictors pre-installed from the factory.

Im running those along with some 5psi one-way check valves to prevent oil from puddling up in the turbos after shut off.

Made me an oil primer in prep for the first start up. About $30 in supplies off Amazon--pump sprayer, gauge, and air fitting along with some clear rubber tubing.

This thing holds 30 psi and should be great to force a few quarts of oil into the oiling system all the way up to the valvetrain in the heads.

I'll tap into my 4an turbo oil feed that taps into the oil filter housing.

Also bought a bottle of zinc to aid in that first start up.

Finished up the motor build/install. Got lots done this weekend.

--Fabbed up a quick oil primer to ensure she was oiled for first start
--bought a new set of shoes
--Had to align the front end due to installing a tubular K member (suspension bolts to K member)--Pass side toe was waaaaaaay out.
--Installed front bumper cover

She's alive!! Runs great. Feels good driving this girl again and THANKS TO BRANDON, this is now my most cost efficient vehicle to drive being it burns straight e85 at $3.49/gallon.

I was worried the car would run HOT with the bigger intercooler, but it does not. It was ~85* today and the car is able to maintain 190-195 pretty easily.

It's running great! Going to drive it to work this week to try and put some miles on her to break in the motor before I start beating the hell out of it haha.

Fantastic Job !

Now go test that new SB …(still waiting for mine to be built with the same parts )

Want to know how much boost it will hold … before I put mine in - Fox body /coyote swap with Twins 😎

Heck , may be you can build it for me on “budget” too ..

😂

What size are the wheels?
What tire are you running?

20x11 rears and 20x9 fronts.

Tires are Yokohama Advan Apex 305/30r20 and 255/35r20.

Wednesday update--been driving the car to work all week (47 miles round trip). That along with some romps through town the motor has almost 200 miles on it.

Have not hammered it yet... letting the rings seat and plan to give it a week of heat cycles before I give it some boost--hopefully this weekend.

Drove car to work all week.. 300+ miles.

Dropped oil and filter. Cut filter open to inspect for break-in material in filter pleats.

Looked better than I expected. That said, pics are a little deceiving.. there was more metal that it appears, but nothing that had me concerned.

Filled her up with 10 fresh quarts of Penzoil Ultra Platinum.

Gave her some proper exhaust tips finally.

I built the exhaust from scratch on this car (waaaay back early in this thread) .. its all stainless 3" turbo back, but never got around to giving it some proper tips.

Took care of that this weekend.
