Nah. It is what it is. A quartz watch can be a great watch. But a quartz watch is more like a calculator with hour and second arms whereas a mechanical watch is a miniature marvel of mechanical engineering and miniaturization.
It’s the reason barbecue tastes better than the toaster oven. Lol.

Although they may not be what they once where Bulova has a long and storied history. I grew up in Queens, NY where Bulova was based. Still remember our school trip there in the early 60’s.

They had a lot of firsts and some darn good watches.

And they are making them again. Costs more than it did in 1965.

Had a Bulova watch in the early 90's my grandmother bought for me one year for Christmas. I use to wear it all the time until someone wanted it more than me and stole it from my locker while I was at P.E. Lol! From what I remember it was a heavy watch, but knowing my grandmother, she probably got it from a department store. Wish I still had it.
