Exactly. A storied Swiss brand that has been making quality watches for well over a century. The HydroConquest is a solid, no nonsense, 300m dive watch. Is it as good as an Omega Seamaster. Maybe not, but at a third of the price certainly worth consideration.
Interesting you mention Omega in a comparison to Longines Hydroquest, especially looking at the Hydroquest chrono's like the L38834569... because the Longines automatic movement L688.2 is the base movement for the Omega caliber 3330 which is used in both the Speedmasters and the Seamaster Divers.
So, yeah, Longines is a company with a long strong heritage, and a lot of bang for the buck

Came in earlier than I expected. Looks really good. I really like the yellow and red contrasting with the black. Was scared of scratching it while peeling off the plastic, luckily I cut my nails last night lol.

It is way too big for my wrist, will need to get it sized. But it really looks good imo.

Will be a well welcomed addition to my (new) collection.

Well, I did this today. Longines HydroConquest. SunRay Blue. 44MM. Beautiful time piece. For the price point of these, the look and quality are top notch. I'm impressed to say the least. Got a killer deal on it.

Wasn’t Bulova once a good brand?

No
Im guessing that is a bad thing?
Nah. It is what it is. A quartz watch can be a great watch. But a quartz watch is more like a calculator with hour and second arms whereas a mechanical watch is a miniature marvel of mechanical engineering and miniaturization.
It’s the reason barbecue tastes better than the toaster oven. Lol.

Had a Bulova watch in the early 90's my grandmother bought for me one year for Christmas. I use to wear it all the time until someone wanted it more than me and stole it from my locker while I was at P.E. Lol! From what I remember it was a heavy watch, but knowing my grandmother, she probably got it from a department store. Wish I still had it.
