BREITLING, ROLEX, TUDOR, OMEGA, anybody into high end watches?

Microbrand watches provide a lot of value for the dollar spent. Current "almost" luxury brands like Christopher Ward or Formex started out as Microbrands. Make no mistake, I have no delusions that Zelos or others (a microbrand) is equal to Rolex or Omega. They have similar design queues:

1) Specs - the same, water resistance for example
2) similar Materials - sapphire, stainless steel, ceramic bezels
3) Similar design elements - screws in bracelets, micro adjust, automatic movements
4) Better boxing than brands like Seiko, Bulova, Citizen

When one buys a true luxury brand though they are getting:

1) superior fit and finishes (although very good on some microbrands
2) history and heritage
3) certifications like COSC or Metas
4) exceptional repair and refurbishment networks

My take. @MAGS1 , enjoy your new watch. It is Luxury to buy something above and beyond what you can buy in a chain store. Thank you for posting, very nice looking chrono!

Honestly, Amazon. I bought a 24 watch case back in October 2021 for like $40.00. Still looks great and no one would know it’s not real leather. They have a great assortment for more than reasonable prices.

Oh yeah, that’s on my to-do list . So many nice options out there. I really like the clean designs of IWC watches, I may go for one of those next.

I’ve been buying too much stuff lately, so it’ll probably be a summer or fall purchase but they’ve really caught my eye. Glad to hear you like yours, always good to get positive reviews/feedback

I don’t think anyone would confuse me with being elegant LOL. But I get what you’re saying. I was looking at their blue dial chrono and then I saw the green and it just jumped out at me. I’ve got a blue dial watch already and they do say variety is the spice of life
