I'm glad it worked out for the OP, and sounds like they don't "need" the handling packs track performance benefits.

Truth. Mine had cups on the HP wheels and they were awful. Tram lined terrible. Upgraded to PS4S and all is well.

I wasn’t aware there was a beef. If folks want it, get it. Otherwise don’t. Seems simple.

I will say though if you pay for it then it should actually be present on the car and documented as such from the factory.

Don’t go in the Facebook groups, it’s terrible. You might as well own an eco boost if you don’t have the HP option from the factory. It has gotten a little better though as a lot of these cars are now on the second owners.

Looks like I've received lots of comments so the story continues---
Went back to the BMW dealer with the window sticker with the proof of no HP and tried to get something off. After admitting they had made a mistake I only got $1000 of the price. It was a case of take it or leave it. i took it and bought the car. Maybe I was in a rush to buy it but it is a FJG with all the cosmetic HP options and only about 8 for sale in Canada. I needed an automatic so maybe 4 in Canada. I have lost cars before because I took too long to decide so I bought this as soon as I saw it. Dealer would not come down in price at all. Its a gorgeous car and do not regret buying it at all since the spring is here in Toronto and it would be impossible to get another. For those guys who are interested in what I paid don't forget i'm in Canada. Its a 2021 JFG color with 16000 KM and all options except of course HP. Paid $64,000 plus 13% Ontario taxes for total of $72,000 CDN or $50,000 US. Don't know if that's a good deal in the US or not. Anyway it's over and i'm happy!!

Main thing is you're happy. M1 looks amazing few people would exploit the HP option anyway.

The current widespread trend with rampant Canadian fraudsters and fraud is just to call it an "error" when caught....they get away with it.

I simply vote with my wallet dealers try to rip me off as I did last week when a deal T&C was suddenly unilaterally switched.....I walked, along with the 120 3/4 ton fleet order.

I love my Ecoboost HPP wish the GT was quiet with the top down at the lights, would buy the 60th Anniversary one saw couple days ago I such a sucker for overpriced lipstick options haha especially since no magnaride at that price.
