I'll keep this short and simple, which one did you go for, and why?

There's practically no way I can listen to neither in person, so my opinion is based on what I read here and some Youtube videos. There ins't many dealers for aftermarket parts here, the only ones I was able to find are Borla, Magnaflow and Corsa.

I'm looking for the meanest most aggressive exhaust sound, and from the clips I've seen and heard, I'm leaning towards the Borla ATAK.

Also, I have a question since I really dunno much about these things, whats the difference between 2.5" and 3.0" pipe diameter? What difference does a pipe diameter make?

Thanks!

Corsa atak both sound good, but corsa sounds better in my opinion. Two of my buddies have corsa xtreme and atak catbacks and the atak is not as loud as the extreme. I'm assuming loud is a factor since you're shopping the attack and extreme

corsa double x pipe
no drone
can come with quads

look on my youtube page, type in Tony Lam and you can see the very many different levels of corsa

I went with the Borla ATAK. Haven't head the Corsa in person yet but from what I've seen Borla seems a little bit deeper which is what I was going for. Not a fan of the sound the x-pipes produce so didn't want to go with a double X. Ended up swapping the Borla x-pipe with an h-pipe to make it even deeper and it sounds great. From what I've seen it's not an easy swap to replace the double X with an h-pipe so wasn't worth it for me. Both seem to be very similar in loudness rating from what I've seen/heard online.

As far as 2.5" or 3" goes, all of the Borla ATAK videos seem to be the 2.5" but I've heard the 3" may be a little bit louder/deeper but probably not even noticeable. Guess it just comes down to future mods and if your going forced induction in the future go for the 3", otherwise get the 2.5" for various reasons.

corsa can be quiet as a mouse or angry trex depending on your foot!

however both borla or corsa are great. For this car though my personal winner goes to corsa after having both(well frpp by borla). both don't drone and only loud when you stomp on it. you can't go wrong with either but don't do what alot of us did which was buy a borla then bought a corsa.

obligatory post my exhaust vid. i still never got around to making a proper one... whoops

I can see that most of you went with the Corsa XTREME.

It really sucks that I can't hear both of them in person to decide, but that's why I'm here.

Well, I have another question, since KHYBER mentioned it and I've read it on a few other threads here, is it too quiet at lower RPMs? The whole point of an aftermarket exhaust for me is to make it louder since the stock is pretty tamed. Is there an exhaust that could be loud all the time, low/high RPMs, Idle, etc? I mean it doesn't have to an obnoxiously loud at lower RPMs but I'd still like to hear something to know it's still there, if you know what I mean.

any exhaust on this car really isn't loud in low rps and it seems quiet inside because the car is pretty well insulated and it tricks you into thinking it's much quieter than it really is.

These motors seem very tame at idle, for more volume you might want to go with a cam tune.

Most have Corsa due to their fantastic marketing/general presence on the forums. Not saying their a bad exhaust, they're great, but they're presence lead to a LOT of purchases over the other. I have run both and they are both fantastic, I prefer the Atak though. More agressive, more pops, sounds better to me.

It's a difficult decision for me since I don't get to hear them in person, but your opinions are helping a bit since most of you tried both. I like both, but it seems like Borla has a more deeper sound than the Corsa, which I like. But again, I want the black tips and Borla has them only with the 2.5" pipe diameter.

Also, what is headers? How do they affect the performance of the car, and how do they work along side a catback? Any specific ones that you'd suggest? Maybe a specific combination that sounds nice?

Excuse my ignorance but I've never modified any of my cars in any way so I have no idea about most of these things.
