What's the sound difference between the S-Type and Atak?

Just ordered one with active exhaust (atak), black chrome tips. Compared a lot of sound clips online and considered a few other things, decided to go with borla.

Curious as to why you went with borla over corsa?

The guy that bought my Mach 1 off me the other day has Borla Ataks with an X pipe on his 2013 5.0 It sounded amazing, youtube clips don't do it justice!

I may go with a Frankenstein exhaust to save money. Borla axle back with a Steeda X pipe lol, clamped and cut all over the place.
"clamped and cut all over the place" :headbang: Heck yea dude!!

Well, these were the few things I was considering, might not be what others look at though:
  • Corsa's website is still not using secure links (i.e. https), which to me it says "yeah, we don't care about it". It's 2018, if a website still isn't using https, you can't expect your accounts on there to be safe (including credit card information). Also, the design itself is kind of out of date, imo the design of the website for the three brands I've looked at: MagnaFlow > Borla > Corsa.
  • Everywhere I've looked people always mention that borla has a deeper tone.
  • I believe Ford Performance uses borla for a reason.
  • A simpler design in the x-pipes, sometimes simpler is better.

My Borla S types were my favorite sounding exhaust for the 15-17. Actually when I sold my car last weekend I heard it drive away for the first time without me inside of the car and OMG, I had no idea that sounded the way they did. I'd love to have a set for the new 18 but I don't think I'll be dropping coin for an exhaust this time since the stock has satisfied me so far but glad to see the option is there now.

I kind of had the same experience. Prior to trading the car, we had to move my mother up about 3hrs from here so I had the wifey take my 16' along for our ride back. The whole way up I loved how the MF Comps sounded from the outside as I had never heard it for more than a very short drive. That being said, I am also enjoying the quietness of the stock 18's exhaust that proves to be one of the loudest/throatiest to date.

When the touring catback comes out, what sound level will this compare to on the stock active exhaust or will it be louder than track mode?
