I got bored today and bought 10 gallons of MS109 then licensed the Gt350 on my HPTuners cable. I Changed the stoich in the whipple tune to 13.41 with no other changes then reflashed. Now, the car is an entirely different animal on 100% ms109, pulls harder than ever before above 4500rpms. I highly recommend race fuel for anyone with a boosted gt350, headed back to the dyno next week to see what it picked up and what kind of peak power we can find with some timing adjustments

Nice man ! Your car just must feel like a beast .
Any logs ?
If you still have the whipple tune is it adding timing with race gas ?
I have tried race gas in my car and the spark curve looks exactly the same as 93 with max timing 18-19 at WOT.
My knock sensors are very quiet and at zero mostly, unlike my 18 GT which added timing (-KR) with higher octane even with the whipple tune .

I have not heard anything from whipple in 3 weeks when they promised they would have the updated tune software and firmware out “soon”.

I am tempted to just call it quits with their tune and get a Lund e85 tune (they do insists on ID1300’s and return fuel system ).

I’ll log some data tomorrow and post it up.

Mine is going for dyno tune next Friday. I’ll be running straight up pump gas so we’ll what she does. The most I’m willing to do is add in a can of VP octane additive... wouldn’t be thrilled about having to do that but I will I guess.

This is good to hear. I recently purchased a gt350 and have A Whipple coming. My calculations say on E50 and ID1000 I have enough pump. I am going to try this route and see.

That’s also good to hear especially coming from you . Is that with the stock fuel system or a return?
Interestingly whipple told me when testing their stage 3 for the 18/Gen 5 they got their best results mixing race gas and E85 .

Who is going to be tuning with the E50?

My preference would be to avoid a return fuel system if I could .
ID1050x is also much less $ than the 1300’s..

I think I may stick with the whipple tune till I see your results .

Right now I know Lund will tune for E85 with ID1050X/1300’s and a BAP .
Any thoughts on upgrading the stock pumps to DW400’s (with inline check valve to avoid starting issues) like whipple does on their 18-19 stage 2’s.
I feel that would give as much if not more flow than a BAP .
Lund however is no longer tuning cars with a DW400’s (with or without BAP) because of the starting issues .
Rob at PBD however said he would have no issues with it .

Are you guys with boosted 350s upgrading your half shafts or are the stock ones holding up?

I upgraded mine with DDS 1400HP axles as part of a twin turbo build. I have the stock axles with less than 100 miles on them in a box......... collecting dust.

GT350 shafts are an upgrade for regular GTs that are naturally aspirated. I am getting them for my GT just to give a bit more peace of mind at the strip. I don't plan on FI or even bolt-ons so I really don't need the DSS units. I am sure you could find a local buyer for yours if you choose to.

What about the VMP blowers? I know VMP themselves bowed out on the GT350 but I have VMP GenIIR 2.3 TVS on my '07 GT and I might like to use on my 17 GT350 at some point. If anyone has tried I would love to know the results.

I replaced the driver side halfshaft on mine under warranty. The shaft itself was fine but somewhere along the line it tore the CV boot and slung axle grease everywhere. Ford replaced it without issue
