Bonnet/Hood Metal type.

Can anyone clear this up, I thought the Bonnet was made of Ally but someone on the Aussie site has just said they think it's made of Steel because we have the pedestrian safety thing unlike the American cars which are Aluminium.
Those that have put hood struts in might be able to shed some light I hope??

When i put struts on and was holding it up to seat them i decided it was bloody heavy so unlikely to be ally.

Great news!!! Thought it was a bit of a strange thing to change.

Thanks for clearing this one up.....next :confused:
Front wings as well I think. Don't lean too hard!

We'll know for sure when the paint falls off as soon the warranty expires (see 2005 Mustang). Bill Shepherd has a standard price to paint a hood. It's that common.

Yes that's how I understood it to be, poor Australians might well have steel as they don't have Line lock which we do.....not that i'll ever use it.
