Agree! The s550 is hard to beat in looks!!And the Mustang still looks better!
I discovered some terribly misaligned welded panels in my trunk when adding in a factory subwoofer. They were off so much bolts couldn't fit through the openings. It would be an absolute miracle If flat rock could build a mustang with panel gaps and build quality of a Mazda 3 made in Mexico.
It would even be a miracle if they could build it as well as wife's challenger which was made in Canada, obviously by the looks of it, by people who actually cared while building it.
Some Mustangs otoh look like they were built by a 6 year old on a friday night while texting on their phone.
What a great car, marred by poor execution of assembly and stamping tolerances.
My '17 GT PP MT export was 110k USD. We have some crazy cartaxes here in Denmark. It starts at $112,000 though, LOL! I thought my sticker price was high!![]()

The fact that Ford is selling more Mustangs than Chevy sells Camaros and that Dodge sells Challengers says to me that the Mustang is competitive. No, I'm not talking about extravagant polish. Just less sloppiness in the manufacturing process and some better thought out internal design for driver interaction. Ford needs to remain competitive in this century.

I was told by an automotive engineer from Mexico that Germany has had a big influence on manufacturing there from a process and education perspective.
It does. Now, let's explore facts not fake news snippets. The fact that Ford is selling more Mustangs than Chevy sells Camaros and that Dodge sells Challengers says to me that the Mustang is competitive.
I bet if they had a need, they could develop a high revving v8 that doesn't tick or burn oil.Do you want the Mazda powertrain?
So because the Mustang has been the sales leader, it's acceptable that the build quality is best described as "slapped together and out the door"? Considering my car has about 12k miles on it and most likely needs a new rear diff assembly to stop the driveline vibrations, I don't accept that kind of thinking. The fact that Ford is selling more Mustangs than Chevy sells Camaros and that Dodge sells Challengers says to me that the Mustang is competitive.
Exactly, I love my car but sometimes Ford gets away with things the Koreans or Mexicans would get crucified for.Not

Sorry, not to be rude, but that's what the media does -half the story.
The mustang is also open to a worldwide market.
So, while the mustang has higher sales numbers, it is not on an even playing field.
Don't get me wrong, I like the car.
I just think they can, should and only will do a better job if people complain and not make excuses for it. That will benefit everyone. Let competition dictate costs.
BMW often disappoints me as well but mostly when it comes to the interiors. Although I do like iDrive. I'm sure that puts me in a minority here, lol.I saw it in real and i was disappointed. Looks to much to other bmw and too anonymous
I really like iDrive as well. Once you're used to the controller and menu structure, you can do most things you want in the car without having to keep looking at the screen.BMW often disappoints me as well but mostly when it comes to the interiors. Everyone has idrive when they do unless someone else does. At that point, it becomes they drive.I really like iDrive as well. Once you're used to the controller and menu structure, you can do most things you want in the car without having to keep looking at the screen.
